Weight loss vs fat loss

Do you care too much about the number on the bathroom scales?
If your goal is weight loss, it is important that you do not get too hung up on what you weigh. It is normal for weight to fluctuate hugely, even when you continue to lose inches. In fact, many women have reported losing entire dress sizes without the number even changing on the scales!
Taking your measurements is a far better way of monitoring your fat loss progress. Taking photos as well as noticing the way your clothes fit are also great ways.
Just know that a spike on the scales from one day to the next is not fat gain! It is merely water weight, which can come about by a change in the type and amount of food or the amount of water or electrolytes you are consuming. Stress, hormones and lack of sleep play a part too.
It is ok to weigh yourself if you want to, but if you get disheartened with a slight gain, try doing so just once a week.
How’s your relationship with the scales?
